Hey new bestie, I’m so happy you’re here!

I created RestingSadFace because I reached a breaking point in my own misery. I’ve been on this self destructive cycle of anxiety, anger, depression for the majority of my life. And while I’ve finally accepted I’ll never get off the neurodivergent rollercoaster, I’m finally ready to secure the belt, raise my arms, and make the ride not only more comfortable, but enjoyable.

Because let’s face it, being part of the neurodivergent community sucks sometimes. Whether you’re dealing with ADHD, trauma, autism, OCD, depression, or others, it can feel impossible to handle. And after several therapy sessions, I’ve learned it doesn’t have to be this way. Yes I have to work harder to feel ‘okay’ but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to be happy.

While our mental health journey is the focus of this blog, I also have plans to write about my other interests: healthy eating, fitness, and beauty just to name a few. Oh and let’s not forget about nervous system challenge that we started with this blog: 75 Regulate Challenge.
